These drill guides are very similar to the PILOT BITS, however, they are designed to be used with a templet or jig for accurately locating and drilling holes for shelf pins. All have a standard ANSI 1/4″ hex drive shank that snaps into most power drive tools or can be used in a standard 3-jaw drill chuck. The knurled barrel unscrews for easy cleaning. The high speed steel drill bits have a special brad point configuration that is designed to produce clean and chip-free holes in melamine laminates and hardwood veneer plywoods. Make your own drilling templet by drilling 3/8″ holes at appropriate spacing in a piece of 1/4″ tempered hardboard (Masonite). Replacement drill bits available. Weight 3 oz.
